Ode to Death

       Oh! How we long for thee!
      Years pass by striking us with vehemence 
      Every time we face this filthy world 
      Oh! we wish we could run for your protection !
     
        But we feel your existence 
        By the touch of your pangs of suffering 
        Oh! How we yearn for the suffering to end in thee !
        Like forest fires humiliation 
        Stretches its roots into our souls


         Oh! How we plead you to be our savior!
         God may be unreal but, 
         You are the everlasting reality
         Whom no one dares to deny. 


          Oh ! Enchanting , mesmerizing, peace giving death 
          How we wonder why everyone wants god
          When you are nearby!


            You are a bane for many but to us a boon
            Oh! How we love you to be our master, our god
            We left the womb far back 
             Oh! Now How we linger in the body 
            Waiting for rest in your temple ; the tomb


             Oh! How we feel flying away 
             Like birds from these body cages.
             Oh! How we await your soothing, tranquilizing hands
             To heal the wounds of our souls.
                  
              Oh! Death don't be a mirage 
               Come back to hug us 
               By bestowing a miracle on us
